Carl has over 30 years of financial services industry and public accounting experience. Carl is both a Certified Financial Planner and a Certified Public Accountant with a masters in taxation. Carl is past president of the Cocoa Rotary Club. Carl has many years of experience as a board director for numerous businesses and nonprofit entities.

Arielle started her career at 15 working for Carl Johns in the CPA firm. Her tenure with Carl continued through her high school and college years. In 2014, she graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Master's Degree in Taxation, and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a Minor in Health Service Administration. In 2015 while under the tutelage of Carl, Arielle earned her CPA License and became a Partner of the Firm. She currently serves on various nonprofit boards as treasurer and has been and is currently serving as treasurer for various political campaigns.

Tammy joined our team as a Tax Accountant in December 2020. She is primarily responsible for tax filings, tax planning and tax authority notices. Tammy also communicates with our clients to ensure that they are applying the most advantageous tax minimizing strategies available to them.
Prior to joining our team, Tammy worked for a CPA firm in O’Fallon, Illinois. She is a military veteran, who spent time serving in the U.S. Navy. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Strayer University and a Masters in Business Administration from University of Phoenix. She also attained her Enrolled Agent (EA) certificate from the Internal Revenue Service. When away from the office, Tammy enjoys spending her time volunteering with the Special Olympics of Brevard County. She is married to a Air Force veteran and her two sons are currently serving in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army.

Karen joined the firm in October 2018. A graduate of the University of the West Indies with a bachelor's degree in Marine Sciences and Chemistry, she later completed an MBA at the University of Wisconsin, Parkside. Currently, Karen is pursuing an EA certification. She is an avid construction DIY enthusiast in her free time.

Kristina joined the firm as a staff accountant in August 2019. She graduated from Eastern Florida State College with her bachelor’s degree in organizational management with a specialization in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Accounting/Forensic Finance from Florida Institute of Technology. Kristina is a QuickBooks® Online certified ProAdvisor and is currently working on pursuing her CPA license. Her practice areas include bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation (individual & corporate). She is currently the treasurer of Riley’s Rescue of Brevard. In her free time, Kristina enjoys traveling, reading, swimming, and escape rooms.

Mitchell joined the firm in June 2023. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Central Florida and is currently pursuing his CPA license. Mitchell is a fan of basketball and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Laura joined the firm in November 2022 after moving here from the west coast and settling in Melbourne. As Administrative Assistant, she is the one who will greet you in person and on the phone, helping to set up appointments, troubleshoot any problems, and connect you with other team members. She is also responsible for processing tax returns. She comes to us with years of experience working in different corporate office settings and is a great asset to our team. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, learning to surf and exploring Florida with her retired husband, two dogs and two cats.
